Ansley Lyons

Ansley’s roots lie in Georgia, where service has been ingrained in her life since childhood. At the tender age of 7, she embarked on her journey to address food insecurity, starting with adorning brown bags for the local summer lunch initiative, Bags of Love. Her involvement quickly escalated as she transitioned to crafting sandwiches and packing daily meals for disadvantaged children. The following summer, alongside her mother, she extended her reach by personally delivering meals to families in need.

Driven by an unwavering commitment, Ansley’s passion to combat food insecurity only intensified over time. She broadened her scope of volunteerism, extending her support to various organizations. Notably, her recent endeavors led her to collaborate with Meals by Grace, where she plays a pivotal role in assembling and distributing grocery boxes to over 265 individuals across North Georgia every week. Her contributions extend beyond mere logistics; she coordinates food-specific drives, educates the community, and serves as a lifeline for those residing in food-insecure households.

When not immersed in volunteer work, Ansley dedicates herself to her studies at Jacksonville State University, pursuing a degree in Graphic Design with a minor in Content Creation. Her downtime is filled with creative pursuits, whether it’s working on art projects, watching a Broadway Musical, or simply enjoying the company of friends, embodying the essence of a typical college student.

Additionally, her involvement with the Jacksonville Christian Outreach Center showcases her commitment to community welfare, as she spearheads initiatives like building and installing a little free pantry, ensuring access to essentials for those in need.
